It is finished!

Jesus said, "It is finished." John 19:30

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Galatians 2:20-21

Happy Easter! This year we spent time with all the families spread out over the weekend.

Friday, at noon, Watermark held a Good Friday service. 7 different member spoke about the 7 statements Jesus said on the cross. It was a great time to meditate on the reality of Christ's death and the pain He endured for me.

After the service Brian, Evie and I had dinner with the Ricketts Family at Mi Cocina. It was a great time with yummy food! (I'm terrible, I didn't have my camera, sorry)

Saturday we were supposed to go to the Easter service at 3:00, but Evie managed to pick up hand foot and mouth in the nursery. (We were quarantined for the remainder of the week). After her 104.7 fever broke, the Evans family stopped by to give Evie her Easter basket. Once the Tylenol kicked in she was even up for a short egg hunt!

GO GET 'UM

There are gold fish in there?!

I found one!

This one has gold fish too!

Egg hunting was quickly over after we saw the swing.

More gold fish!?

Getting sleepy...
On Sunday morning Evie and I headed to Flower Mound for breakfast with Uncle Nick and Grammy. After Daddy got off work we had Easter dinner with Nick, Grammy and Grandmother.

I helped decorate the Easter tree.

Uncle Nick is crazy!

Nothing but trouble!

The Easter squirrel came... and brought a back-up Daisy!

Reading with my Daddy

I also got a pair of leg warmers for the fall... Chunky monkey, they barely fit!

Yoga

I LOVE my Uncle Nick!

These eggs have golf fish too!!?!

We hope your Easter was filled with JOY knowing Christ died so that you can spend eternity with Him in heaven.

Many Blessings!

15 Months

Evie is 15 months old. Who can believe that? I sure can't.
After returning home from an 8 day trip I barely recognized her. She is changing so fast.
Her hair is long (and in her eyes because she won't let me put a bow in).
She's running. She's talking. She's learning. She's trying new things.

At her 15 month appointment she was 95% for height and 60% for weight.
(The weight wasn't very accurate because she wouldn't let go of me when they tried to weigh her)

On that note, she's VERY clingy. It's interesting because she is SO independent, but also very anxious about being away from mommy and daddy. Hopefully, time will make it easier.

Words:
bir (bird)
ba (ball)
ast (outside)
saiy (daisy, her stuffed cat)
joe (George, our cat)
ji (Jilly and all other cats)
daw (dog)
moa (more or 'I want that')
ps (please, only heard every once and a while)
bee (bee)
ower (flower)
maw (mom)
da (dad)

She LOVES to wear necklaces. She loves her stuffed cat Daisy. She loves to swing. She loves milk. She loves to go outside. She loves raisins. She loves her mommy and daddy. We love her.

Catch Up and Goal

So I've been absent for a while :(

Below there are several posts about Evie and what she has been up to.

I have made a goal to make one post a week... just one... they only take five minutes so I'm not really sure what  my problem is.

Check back often... I hope to keep the weekly goal up :)

Much Love,
L

GUILTY!!!

So, for Brian's birthday I got him a container of chocolate covered almonds. Brian and I were eating them for dessert one night, and left them out on the couch... opened.

The next morning I was switching laundry loads. I realized how quiet it was (never a good sign) so I went looking for Little Miss.

I came around the corner to find Evie STUFFING her mouth with chocolate covered almonds, with drool running down her chin. She LOVED them!!!

It was priceless and one of the cutest things she has done yet!

Playtime at the Park

Now that I Evie can walk we have been heading to the park to play!
I can't believe how grown up she is... it happens so fast.

Evie LOVED the slide!

Down the slide with mommy

High in the sky!

Evie also LOVED the wood chips...

She would have sat there all night if we had let her...

Daddy's Girl

Playing in the Dirt with Grammy

Grammy took me outside , to play in the dirt!
I wasn't sure about having my hands dirty at first... after a while I was all in!

Playing with Grammy is always fun... she lets me get dirty and in trouble!!
I love you Grammy!!!
