20 Months

Little Miss is 20 months old. It's is crazy and sad to think how quickly this year has flown by! I only have 16 more years with her before she's off to start her own life...

The past few months have been a lot of fun because she's really starting to think and talk. I love watching her play by her self; discovery, trial, creativity.

Evie's vocabulary has also gone through the roof!
Too many words to count now, but a few of our favorites are:

peas (please)
sta (star)
ish (fish)
circle
at (hat... she makes Brian put one on as soon as he walks in the door)
oon (spoon)
cu-key (cup cake)
cookie
uh-ohh
mess
quack quack (duck)
oyey (horse)

Our other new favorite is asking her for a hug. She comes running with arms wide open, and a huge smile on her face.

She knows most of her colors and shapes... depending on what mood she's in :)
Pink is definitely her favorite color.
She also knows all the animals and their corresponding noises... too cute

Best of all, she blows everyone a kiss bye bye when we leave!

Happy almost end of summer (praise the Lord)!!!

Brian's Week at the HP Byron Nelson Championship

The long anticipated week of living the dream as a professional golfer has come and gone.
Brian had a wonderful week full of special treatment, golf, friends & family, and new experiences.
He started the week on Sunday playing the Pro-Am, his dad caddied for him! Not like usual, he didn't know anyone he played with (the boy knows everyone around town). He played a practice round Monday, ran a tournament at his club on Tuesday and played a practice round that afternoon, worked Wednesday... and played in the tournament on Thursday and Friday.

Brian was given a Cadillac Escalade to drive for the week that said "official vehicle HP Byron Nelson Championship." He fully enjoyed driving that around town :)

I was excited to learn that he was given two coupons to be redeemed at the Four Seasons Spa! I had a wonderful facial, and was the most relaxed I have ever been (I hinted that I would love to receive a facial as a yearly gift!). I also chose the "spa gift bag" from my other coupon (not knowing if I'd be able to get two treatments in by the end of the week) and boy did I luck out. I received a $100 gift card to a local mall!!! Shopping will take place soon :)

As I mentioned earlier, Brian knows everyone. He enjoyed seeing several people whom he hadn't seen in a while... every corner he turned he saw someone else (including the "red pants")

The actual tournament was a new experience for Brian. He had a rough start, but after calming his nerves and mind he played AWESOME! On Friday he made a birdie in front of 2,000 people, who loudly cheered for him! That was a neat moment for all of us!!! We had many family and friends support us through the week, and we owe them a huge hug and thank you!!! Brian is incredibly grateful of all the love he received, the opportunity to play a tour event and the talents he has been given. And I am so proud of him!

Cameras were not allowed, so I only have a few iPhone pics that I snuck.

Someone has the giggles!!!

This was one of those moments that you fully enjoy before risking disrupting it to grab your camera.
Luckily, she continued after I ran to get my phone and start recording.
Turn it up and enjoy!!!

I hope you've had a good laugh lately!!

You have given me greater joy    than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. Psalm 4:7

"Ower!"

That's right babe! Those are flowers!!!

Aunt Sheridan and Tom came in town for the weekend to spend some time with the family. I LOVE being around family and hope we get to see more family soon!!!

We spent one afternoon walking around the Dallas Arboretum. Evie loves flowers and thoroughly enjoyed running from bloom to bloom. She also got to chase birds and squirrels, who aren't so afraid of people by the way.

It is finished!

Jesus said, "It is finished." John 19:30

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Galatians 2:20-21

Happy Easter! This year we spent time with all the families spread out over the weekend.

Friday, at noon, Watermark held a Good Friday service. 7 different member spoke about the 7 statements Jesus said on the cross. It was a great time to meditate on the reality of Christ's death and the pain He endured for me.

After the service Brian, Evie and I had dinner with the Ricketts Family at Mi Cocina. It was a great time with yummy food! (I'm terrible, I didn't have my camera, sorry)

Saturday we were supposed to go to the Easter service at 3:00, but Evie managed to pick up hand foot and mouth in the nursery. (We were quarantined for the remainder of the week). After her 104.7 fever broke, the Evans family stopped by to give Evie her Easter basket. Once the Tylenol kicked in she was even up for a short egg hunt!

GO GET 'UM

There are gold fish in there?!

I found one!

This one has gold fish too!

Egg hunting was quickly over after we saw the swing.

More gold fish!?

Getting sleepy...
On Sunday morning Evie and I headed to Flower Mound for breakfast with Uncle Nick and Grammy. After Daddy got off work we had Easter dinner with Nick, Grammy and Grandmother.

I helped decorate the Easter tree.

Uncle Nick is crazy!

Nothing but trouble!

The Easter squirrel came... and brought a back-up Daisy!

Reading with my Daddy

I also got a pair of leg warmers for the fall... Chunky monkey, they barely fit!

Yoga

I LOVE my Uncle Nick!

Reading with my Grammy

These eggs have golf fish too!!?!

We hope your Easter was filled with JOY knowing Christ died so that you can spend eternity with Him in heaven.

Many Blessings!
